Disability Victory Talks Building Disabled People’s Political Power in Nonprofit Quarterly

Yesterday was the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and Disability Victory has been hard at work! We’re honored to be featured alongside New Disabled South in Nonprofit Quarterly’s piece on building the political power of disabled Americans.

In the piece, our co-Founder and co-Director Neal Carter spoke about the intention behind creating a disability-led campaign training organization:

“When we rolled out Disability Victory back in May, we were intentional about being a disability-led organization, having a majority disability board, incorporating levels of accessibility in our training apparatus. We wanted to say, ‘These are our lived experiences, and you have to comprehend that and sit at the table with us.’”
