Disability Victory Profiled in the 19th News

Last week, our co-Founder and President Sarah Blahovec spoke with Sara Luterman of The 19th News about our work to empower disabled progressives to run for office and work on campaigns, the importance of prioritizing accessibility, and the challenges and opportunities for disabled candidates in the political arena:

On accessibility as one of Disability Victory’s core values:

“Everything we need to do needs to be accessible, and accessibility comes first. We don’t want to launch something where it’s only available to some people and not others,” she said. That means sign language interpreters, professional captioning and ensuring written materials can be read by screen reading software.
